I had to take this photo—it worked, but also didn’t quite work. I really could have used a small ladder to stand more directly in front of the composition, and there’s a small arch in the top left that I couldn’t quite crop out. The window could have been given a bit more space. A little anarchy is allowed, though.
Berlin is the dance city, the club capital of Europe, and this photo captures that beautifully. It must have taken quite an effort to paste the dancing figures so high up on the wall. The one on the left gazes out over us, while the one on the right seems introspective. At the very bottom, people are also dancing on a poster. Luckily, the city’s government has designated the clubs as cultural heritage, so the dancing will continue for years to come.
