A wall with many messages. The letters in the top left corner I’ve seen in Valencia, but also in Berlin. Somewhere in the middle is the word “être,” which means “to be.” Very existential—being, being there, being who you are? Also present is “#staysafe,” an image you can see all over the city, a call to behave safely during the Corona period. It already feels so long ago. It appears in two places in the composition, also in the bottom left.
This is a wall where everyone has pasted something, yet it leads to a cheerful whole because all the images are tied together by the brightly colored wall. Can you already imagine something like this happening in the Netherlands? Perhaps if you look hard enough, but it likely has something to do with the local character that all these images still remain here.
