A smiling monkey in a suit with an armband featuring a rune-like symbol. It’s funny, intriguing, and at the same time a bit unsettling. I’m somewhat burdened by images in my head of people in uniforms with armbands and rune-like symbols that are best avoided.

Luckily, this wasn’t the case. A quick Google search leads to an innocent Facebook page with only 17 followers, featuring a unicorn in a similar suit. It’s called “Valencia e Venda” and aims to sell the city to the best among us. Perhaps it’s a playful protest or a joke by an artist—I’m not sure. But the monkey’s grin makes sense. There’s nothing serious happening here.
